​​​​GALS SGM and AGM Meetings:

The SGM is to update our constitution so that it complies with the Incorporated Societies Act of 2022. I have attached details of the proposed changes to the constitution - the purpose of the SGM. Please find also attached the proposed updated constitution with the changes in red. If you have any problems or questions regarding any of this please let me know in good time before the SGM.
 

After the SGM we will have the usual AGM. One of the things we do at the AGM is we vote for our committee for the coming year. Nomination form attached. All posts are voted on. 
Under new legislation future committee members will need to sign Consent and certificate of Officer forms - I have attached one of these forms so you can see that on page 2 it makes clear that (among other things) a person who is an undischarged bankrupt or a person who has been convicted of certain crimes can not be a member of the committee. 
 

Below is the current status of nominations and please note we are still seeking nominations for secretary, so if interested let me know. It's a very rewarding job - plenty of achromotrichia and alopecia to be had.
